The group was founded by the visionary Mr KVK Rajendra Prabhu, who began in hospitality industry. Mr.KVKR Prabaharan took the group into precious jewellery business and carved a name for himself. He had served as Vice President of Tamil Nadu Jeweller’s Federation (TNJF) & Chairman for Exhibition Organising Committee between 2011 and 2015.

The KVKR brothers come from a family which had been trading and mining in gemstones for more than two generations while living in Myanmar, and before they relocated to Madurai, their ancestral homedown. Equipped with their family’s experience in gemstones, the KVKR brothers – Prabaharan and Kaveri Krishnan – decided to take their family business to the next level venturing into jewellery business by establishing Sri Jeyaprabha Jewellers in West Chettiar Street. In 1989, after getting well- established Jeyaprabha Jewellers Private Limited was duly incorporated.
